FAQ
Take the student to the DMV by making an appointment. Take the birth certificate and a VOC letter from the middle school or high school. Tell the DMV which school you want the permit go to. The DMV will charge about 21.50. There will be an eye test only. It takes about 2 weeks for the card to be sent. This can be done during the classroom phase. Once the drives are completed the card is given to the student and a six month countdown begins before the road test can be given followed by the written test. The license is then issued. Once the student is 17 years of age, the student is then qualified to go for the road test and written test immediately. The teen must be at least 14 1/2 to start the course and sign up at the DMV.
Driver Education Classroom or Online alone: $90
Drives alone: $300
Whole program: $390
Presently, we only want to charge for the classroom alone and accept no other money until later upon the availability of doing the drives. As we add instructors to our team, the availability will improve.
There are two of us doing this full time. We are trying to qualify two more going through the filing stage. We are also looking for more people that may enjoy this type of work. Once properly trained, this work is really not as difficult as it may seem. A sense of logic and patience is required.
